What is the minimum number of children needed to set up a daycare?

You can set up a creche with any number of children. The deciding factor is not the number of children, but the presence of women employees in your organisation.

We dont have 50 women employees. Is it mandatory for us?

The maternity benefits act mandates that every employer with more than 50 employees of any gender should provide creche facility to their women employees.

We set up our own corporate daycare centres or operate the daycare centre set up by organisations.  While we don’t get involved in turnkey projects, it is always safer and less worrisome if you hand over the operations to professional corporate daycare centres.
